It seems that chocolate and dogs don't mix.

Maxine was born June 20, 2002 and I received her shortly after weaning. I had always wanted a Boxer since my parents neighbor got one years ago. Their disposition is great around kids and they are always ready to play. Truly great companions, if you can get though the puppy years.

I went to the animal shelter again on Tuesday. It's probably a routine now. Popping by every Tuesday afternoon. There was another volunteer there this time. She was walking a dog i haven't seen before. A boxer. Later, i learnt his (the dog's) name was Tyson. I nearly called him Mikey, haha.

Sad story here:

I'm sure most people who know me personally—and let's be honest, you're the only people who actually read this thing—have learned by now that we had to put our 12-year-old Boxer, Macy, to sleep this morning. When I say "we," I mean "my family." She was the third—and arguably the sweetest—dog my family ever owned. Anyway, I would be remiss if I didn't mention it here, regardless of how many of you I vented to today. I just wanted a permanent reminder of what a fantastic companion she was.

Sad story:

An elderly Olney woman was attacked by a neighbor's dog while gardening at her residence on Monday evening. According to Olney Police Chief Rick Chaplin, Frances Bones, 81, 1805 Gregory Drive, was gardening when a boxer or bulldog attacked her.
