Cat Advice
This blogger advises getting Siamese cats.
A friend of mine is thinking about getting a cat or two. I have strongly suggested that he go the same route as myself and adopt a traditional Siamese like this one, also known as an "Applehead Siamese". Here's some information from a breeder:

Why not adopt an applehead Siamese from your local shelter or a breed rescue group?! The vast majority of Siamese in rescue are the more popular appleheads, with the stylish wedgeheads being more of a rarity. You can get a cat AND save a life of a deserving animal!
