Cavapoo

pet dog breed cavapoo Never heard of the Cavapoo breed.

Today I started working with a wonderful little 12 week old puppy today that was of a mix I’ve never seen before and has a wonderful mash up name. This pup was a cross between a Cavalier King Charles and a mini Poodle. It’s a Cavapoo and was it ever cute!

I have a Cavapoo, he is now 7 months old. It didn't take long to train him. They are clever little dogs. We worked out roughly how long he could go between wees and when he would be due a poo. You will soon notice a pattern establishing and the pup will also settle into it. You just need to take him out when he is due and he should go. Then he will begin to ask to go out when he needs to go. This may mean you being on the ball to begin with but in a short time you will reep the benefits. Pups tend to need a poo after about 1/2 hour after eating. Take out every 1 hour to wee and slowly build up the time between wees. As a rule of thumb for every month of the dogs age it can go approx 1 hour. We also crate trained our dog to assist in him gaining bladder control.

I have had a whole lot of dogs in my lifetime...and I know how it is with dogs doing "their business". It is never ending. Dogs are Dogs...and if you don't spend a lot of time with them teaching and training them...then it will take longer for them to learn. If you start telling them and taking them outside at certain times of the day that he/she seems to go to the bathroom....then they can learn. If your dog goes constantly at random times...then it will probably be more difficult for it to learn.
Keep on teaching them and pretty soon they will get the hang of it! :)

I have that same problem with my Cavapoo. I am not the most knowledgable trainer, but I do know that it takes being on top of the puppy 24 / 7 to get him to stop "doing his business" in the house. My puppy who is now 12 1/2 weeks old goes #1 outside, but consistantly, in the same places, will go #2 in my house. This is a great ordeal since I like my home clean. If you hear any recomendations please let me know.

I had adopted a cavapoo the Friday before Christmas. He seems to listen well for a 10 week puppy, but we still have a problem with him "doing his business" in the house. How can we stop him?
